Frequently Asked Questions

  • The first step is to meet for a no-obligation telephone call. This will last 30 minutes to discuss your current situation and what you are looking for from therapy and/or coaching. I will give you an idea about the length of treatment and answer any questions you have, so you can make an informed choice.

If, following this call, we decide we want to work together, we will agree a regular time to meet, usually on a weekly basis.

  • Sessions are delivered online by appointment only.

Therapy and coaching sessions cost £130 per hour.

The 32-session CBT + Coaching Transformation Course costs £3744. This is a 10% reduction on booking the same number of sessions individually.

  • There is no charge for your first consultation.

  • CBT sessions last 60 minutes. Weekly sessions work best in my experience as it helps you built momentum and see quicker progress.

Coaching sessions last between 60-90 minutes. A pattern of starting with weekly sessions, moving to fortnightly and then eventually monthly often works well for some of my clients. We can discuss which frequency works best for you.

Phase 1 of the CBT + Coaching Transformation Course will consist of 20 weekly CBT sessions. In Phase 2, we will agree the spacing of sessions, but these can be weekly, fortnightly, and towards the end, monthly.

  • The number of sessions will be dependent on your individual needs and we will decide on this together. However, NICE guidelines recommend between 12 - 20 sessions of CBT as a ‘therapeutic dose’, depending on the difficulty you are coming to therapy for. You can read more about this here; https://www.nice.org.uk/guidance/ng222/chapter/Recommendations. If your difficulties are more longstanding we may decide you need more sessions.

The number of coaching sessions is dependent on your needs, but usually a minimum of 4 sessions is recommended to help you make progress.

Once therapy/coaching starts, we will regularly review how things are going. This will include working towards a planned ending. You can, of course, end sessions whenever you want to.

The CBT + Coaching Transformation Course is a set 26 session programme.

  • All sessions are online using Zoom.

  • I am based in Devon in the UK but often travel and work from abroad. I work entirely remotely and with people from lots of different countries.

  • There will be breaks in therapy during public holidays and due to any other planned breaks. I will let you know of these with as much notice as possible so we can plan for these together. I also ask you to let me know of any breaks you plan to take with as much warning as possible.

  • Cancellations will be charged at the full rate unless 48 hours notice is given. If it is possible within the same week, an alternative time or date will be reallocated without charge.

  • Fees are invoiced after each session and are paid by bank transfer or Stripe for international clients.

  • My practice is grounded in CBT and coaching. I also draw upon mindfulness and compassion focused therapy (CFT) approaches. We will discuss your needs when we first meet and agree on the most appropriate approach for you.
